The US state of Illinois (not sure of others) will double penalty-points for speeding where roadworks are in place. Should be applied here also.

Drivers complaining about the temporary 60km/h speed limit on the M1 during works should reflect on what can happen.

Right on Michael I had to do flag man in my time with the sdcc while most drivers have good driving manners and stop for you there are a few bad ones who will drive right at the flag man and then you will get a mouthfull of abuse from them
when this happens you have to get out of the way and let them go. My thought’s and prayes are with this man’ s family RIP

Where does it say anything about speeding in this article…Please don’t infer the driver was irresponsible unless you know something about the incident. Driving conditions have been pretty poor and all that can be assumed is that this is a tragic accident which has devastated one family and also tragically affected another. RIP to the worker who died and prayers to his family. Prayers also to the driver and his family also.
