A MAN IS being treated at the scene of an accident on Morehampton Road in Donnybrook, Dublin this morning.
A motorbike and a car were involved in a collision in rush-hour traffic and paramedics and gardai are currently attending the scene.
The collision, at the Mount Eden Road junction where Morehampton Road morphs into Donnybrook Road, is currently blocking the bus lane, according to AA Roadwatch.
President Mary McAleese, Taoiseach Enda Kenny and the entire cabinet were among mourners at the funeral of Dr FitzGerald which took place in Donnybrook in Dublin. He died last Thursday, aged 85.
ONE OF AMERICA’S biggest child beauty pageant organisers is set to spend €20,000 staging their first-ever Irish contest in September.
The Herald reports today that beauty bosses said it will be open to “babies, toddlers and teens” and will also include a heat with kids in swimwear.
Some parents believe that contests celebrates their children’s beauty, helps them learn about camaraderie and boosts their self-confidence. While others think that beauty pageants send out the wrong kind of message to children and that the costumes and make-up involved sexualises kids.
