TRAFFIC IS CURRENTLY reduced to a standstill on the main road artery into Dublin from the south.
Cars are currently in gridlock at the main junction at Donnybrook Bus Garage, where five roads (including the N11/Stillorgan dual carriageway) meet, due to a traffic light failure.
People have been taking to Twitter to have their say on the chaos over the past 45 minutes, with the issue first coming to light at about 7pm.
The traffic light problem may have resulted from a power outage in the area, with some users of social media suggesting same.
A Garda spokesperson said the force is aware of the issue, and that Dublin City Council is currently dispatching a networks team to deal with it.
