Man arrested following €36,000 cash and cannabis seizure in south Dublin

The raid took place in a flat in Rathmines in the early hours of this morning.

A MAN HAS been arrested in south Dublin after gardaí seized a quantity of drugs during a house search this morning.

The raid, carried out by the Dublin Eastern Divisional Drugs Unit, took place at a flat in Rathmines in the early hours of the morning.

Cannabis herb and resin with a street value of roughly €30,000, together with €6,000 cash, was seized during the raid.

The man, aged 33, is currently being detained for questioning at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station.

The man can be held for seven days.

Gardaí say the investigation is ongoing.
