6. #SILENCE: Childline has said it was met with a ‘deafening silence’ following requests for extra funding, the Irish Examiner reports.  The service faces closing its helpline’s night service without an extra €1.2 million.

7. #DOESN’T ADD UP: Canadian schoolbooks are a better fit for Ireland’s maths curriculum than our own, the Irish Independent reports.

8. #HEDGE: A High Court row between two neighbours over a hedge continues. After five days of evidence, the president of the court has appealed to both sides to meet today in an attempt to find a solution, according to the Irish Examiner.

9. #TAKE SHELTER: The strong winds haven’t gone away, you know. Met Éireann’s weather warning is due to remain in place until at least tomorrow morning.
