Gardaí seize €240,000 worth of cannabis as part of gang operation

Three men have been arrested after Gardaí in Meath seized the drugs

GARDAÍ IN MEATH have seized drugs worth an estimated €240,000 following planned searches targeting a north Dublin criminal gang.

Two vans were stopped by Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit on the N2 at Kentstown in Meath on Saturday afternoon and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €84,000 was seized.

Two men were arrested at the scene. The men, both in their 30s, are being held in Finglas garda station.

In a follow up search at a house in Navan yesterday afternoon a further quantity of cannabis with an estimated street value of up to €156,000 was seized and a third man was arrested.

The man, who is in his 40s, is being held at Kells garda station under the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
