US PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL Donald Trump has suggested putting a woman that Bill Clinton had a sexual relationship with in the front row for the first televised presidential debate tomorrow evening.
Trump, campaigning in Virginia, was responding to the invitation from Hillary Clinton to billionaire, and Trump rival, Mark Cuban to attend at the first debate at Hofstra University near New York .
“If dopey Mark Cuban of failed Benefactor fame wants to sit in the front row, perhaps I will put Gennifer Flowers right alongside of him,” the Republican nominee said.
The comment came on a day when Trump attacked Hillary Clinton’s record with women and children.
“”My opponent likes to say that for decades she’s been fighting for women, that she’s been fighting for children. Why, then, are 70 million American women and children living in poverty or on the brink of poverty in our country?” he asked.
For years she’s been doing this and she’s done nothing.
Today it emerged that Trump’s campaign has not officially invited Flowers to the debate.
Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told CNN’s State of the Union show that “we don’t expect her to be there as a guest of the Trump campaign”.
However, Conway followed up that appearance by telling ABC’s This Week that Flowers has every right to attend “if someone else gives her a ticket”.
So will Flowers actually appear? The jury is still out.
The 66-year-old model and actress first came to the fore during Bill Clinton’s successful run for the White House in 1992, when she claimed to have had a 12-year relationship with him.
While Clinton initially denied her accusations, he later admitted under oath that he had a sexual relationship with Flowers.
