19-year-old arrested following post office robbery

The man will appear before the courts this afternoon in connection with the robbery.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a 19-year-old man after an armed robbery in County Meath.

On Thursday morning, two masked and armed men entered Enfield post office. There, they demanded cash from employees and left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained.

In a follow up operation yesterday investigating Gardaí arrested a 19-year-old man in the Dublin area under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act – 1939.

The man is expected to appear before the Courts of Criminal Justice this afternoon charged in connection with the robbery.
