A MAN HAS died after falling into Lough Derg this morning.
Reports came in at 9.26 this morning, where the Shannon, Limerick, and Killaloe Coast Guard, as well as the Lough Derg RNLI were deployed to Terryglass Harbour in north Tipperary.
The National Ambulance service, Tipperary Fire and Rescue and Nenagh Garda station were also notified.
It’s understood a local boat took the man from the water and he received CPR and an AED.
The Irish Coast Guard Helicopter R115 then airlifted the man to Limerick Regional Hospital.
Gardaí said that the man passed away in University Hospital Limerick “a short time after the incident”
