MCDONALD’S HAS ANNOUNCED the creation of 70 new jobs in Charlestown, north Dublin, as part of the latest phase of expansion.

McDonald’s Charelstown, located just off Junction 5 of the M50 motorway, has capacity for 95 customers and represents a €2 million investment in the area.

“This is a great time of year for the restaurant to open and the reaction from customers has been very strong so far,” McDonald’s Charlestown franchisee Morgan McStay said. “The opening of McDonald’s in Charlestown gives another boost to the local area and to the shopping centre in which we are located.”

Adrian Crean, Managing Director of McDonald’s Restaurants of Ireland, commented McDonald’s “determination” to continue creating new Irish jobs: “The more jobs we create, the more Irish produce we need to source and buy for our restaurants, which is good news for our Irish suppliers and for the Irish economy.”
