The gardaí have seized €150,000 worth of cocaine and marijuana

The group were also found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

GARDA HAVE ARRESTED three men in connection with the seizure of a large amount of narcotics.

This comes as part of intelligence operation targeting drug traffickers in the greater Dublin region.

The group arrested were intercepted on the Ballymount Road in Tallaght, south Dublin, yesterday evening at around 6.15pm.

The car they were travelling in contained cocaine and cannabis herb with a estimated street value of €150,000.

The three men, aged 34, 32 and 18, remain in custody in Tallaght Garda station this evening under the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Gardaí are aiming at using “advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks”.

It is said that drug seizures play a critical role in both disrupting criminal networks and also protecting communities from the impact of drugs and associated criminal behaviour.
