Missing Merseyside woman may have come to Ireland

Laura Halligan, 30, and her three-year-old daughter Grace were last located in Holyhead in Wednesday morning.

POLICE IN MERSEYSIDE have appealed to Irish people for information on possible sightings of a 30-year-old Liverpool woman, and her three-year-old daughter, who were last located in Holyhead yesterday morning.

Laura Halligan and her daughter Grace were reported missing at 10:30am yesterday morning after disappearing from their home in Fazakerley in Liverpool, and have not been in touch with family or friends since then.

Police have established that she and Grace took a taxi from Liverpool to Holyhead ferryport yesterday morning, and are now investigating whether they boarded a ferry that may have travelled to Ireland or elsewhere overseas.

Police say Halligan has a medical condition which may deteriorate if not treated, and wish to stress to her that she is not in trouble with them – but rather that they just want assurance that she and Grace are safe and well.

Laura is white, 5’10″ tall and is described of slim build with long blonde-to-light brown hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a black overcoat when last seen, though she may have changed clothes since then. Grace usually wears glasses with a bring pink frame.

Police ask Laura, or anyone who knows her whereabouts, to contact them at (00 44) 151 777 4568 or to phone the UK’s Missing People Helpline, in confidence, at 0500 700 700.
