Motorcyclist dies after collision in Cork

A 25-year-old manwas fatally injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a barrier yesterday afternoon.

GARDAÍ HAVE OPENED an investigation after a man died when his motorcycle collided with a barrier near Fermoy in Co Cork yesterday afternoon.

A 25-year-old male was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a barrier on the N8 at Curraghprevin outside of Rathcormac at around 3.15pm yesterday

He was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Fermoy Garda Station on 024 821 00, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
