Pedestrian dies after road collision in Kildare

Gardaí have appealed for the driver of a white van to contact them.

A MAN HAS died after he was struck by a vehicle in Sallins, Co Kildare in the early hours of this morning.

The man in his 60s was struck by a vehicle on the Naas to Clane Road at Sallins Village at around 12.30am this morning. He was taken to Naas General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The road has been sealed off pending a technical examination and gardaí are appealing for the driver of a white van that was seen in the area around the time of the incident to contact them.
