Poll: Should Scotland vote for independence?

The Scottish government will outline today how they plan to govern as an independent country, but is it a good idea?

SCOTLAND’S DEVOLVED GOVERNMENT will today present a white paper that will outline how Scotland would exist as an independent country.

The country goes to the polls next September on a referendum that would see Scotland break away from the UK government.

The economic plan has been boiled down to Scotland keeping the oil in the North Sea, but losing UK subsidies.

Polls suggest that one third of Scots are in favour of the move, but is a country of 5.3 million people breaking away from a much bigger neighbour a good idea?

We’re asking: Should Scotland vote for independence?

Poll Results:

Yes (2995)
No (2447)
I don't know (856)
