What can I get around Ireland right now... for €200,000?

From a farmhouse in Sligo to a new development in Dundalk.

FINDING THE PERFECT budget-friendly home can be tricky business in Ireland these days. That’s why, each week, we curate price comparison lists to make home hunting less of a pain.

This week, we’re looking at houses around the country that are on the market for very attractive price tags – €200,000, or even less.

Fiddown, Co Kilkenny – €195,000

Number 5 Kylemore Road is a semi-detached family home, part of a development near the village of Fiddown. A recent extension means the kitchen/dining area now expands to a roomy living area that benefits from natural light from the front and rear of the house. Other rooms include an entrance hall, a utility room, a study (or potentially a bedroom) with a WC. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom.

The back garden with its patio area, shrubbery, gazebo, garden shed and side access is a high selling point. As is 5 Kylemore Road’s location – it’s close to the N24, so the home is just 18km from Waterford city and less than 10km from Carrick-on-Suir.
