Woman hospitalised with serious head injuries following assault in Dublin

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident at a house in Rialto on Sunday morning.

A MAN HAS been arrested following an incident in which a woman was seriously assaulted in Rialto, Dublin over the weekend.

A 28-year-old woman is being treated for serious head injuries at a Beaumont Hospital after she was assaulted at a house on Reuben Walk during the early hours of Sunday morning.

A man in his 20s was arrested yesterday and is being detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Kevin Street Garda station.

The scene of the assault is being preserved for technical examination.

Gardaí at Kilmainham are appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to contact them on 01 666 9700, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
