Victorian splendour with five bedrooms and Dalkey Island views - yours for €3m
Professional poker player Donnacha O’Dea has listed his home on the market.

Positioned on Victoria Road, Dalkey in south Co Dublin, the Victorian residence is located just a short stroll from the beautiful seaside. While there are no shortage of impressive homes in and around the area, Albert House’s exterior is enough to make you stop and stare.
Former Olympic swimmer and professional poker player Donnacha O’Dea and his wife bought the house three decades ago, according to the Irish Times.
Now on the market, the five-bed home covers two floors over a basement and measures 4,400 sq ft. There’s a Juliet balcony at each front-facing first floor room, while impressive stone steps lead to the entryway.
Albert House sits on 0.3 acres of grounds, and features a border of tall trees to provide a high level of privacy and seclusion.

As for location, Albert House is just a two-minute walk from Coliemore Harbour, while Dalkey town is less than a 10-minute stroll away. There’s a good selection of primary and secondary schools close by, while the proximity to the sea means residents can enjoy beautiful views all year-round.
If you decide to venture into the city centre, the nearby DART means the trip will take 40 minutes, with stops in seaside towns Sandycove and Dun Laoghaire along the way.
