Man arrested in connection with stabbing at Dublin's North Strand

A 45-year-old man died yesterday after being seriously injured on Sunday night.

A 63-YEAR-OLD MAN has been arrested by gardaí investigating a fatal stabbing at North Strand in Dublin on Sunday night.

David Sheridan, 45, passed away at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital yesterday after sustaining a number of stab wounds on Sunday night.

Investigating Gardaí arrested the 63-year-old this morning. He is being held at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information, or who may have been at North Strand between 10.15pm and 10.45pm on Sunday night to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
