GARDAÍ HAVE arrested a young man aged in his late teens in connection with the stabbing of a teenager outside a shopping centre in Dundrum, Co Dublin.
He was arrested in the south Dublin area and is currently being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Blackrock Garda Station.
The 19-year-old was stabbed and seriously injured by a “lone male” outside Dundrum Town Centre at around 11.15pm on Tuesday, a garda spokesperson said.
The injured teenager was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment.
Gardaí are still appealing for witnesses to the attack to come forward and contact investigators at Dundrum Garda Station on 01 666 5600, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
