Two arrested over spate of armed robberies in Dublin's city centre

A firearm was also recovered today by gardaí after they arrested the 44-year-old man and 21-year-old woman.

A MAN AND woman have been arrested in Dublin today as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of armed robberies in the city centre.

It is understood that these armed robberies took place in businesses like coffee shops and convenience stores over the last two months.

Following an intelligence led operation, a 44-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were stopped in the Aungier Street area by gardaí this evening and were arrested.

A firearm was also recovered.

Both are currently being held at Pearse Street garda station.
