WHEN IT COMES to Brysam in Clane, Co Kildare, nothing is done by halves.
The five-bed home, which is on the market for €1,275,000, features an equally impressive interior and exterior, with accommodation spread across three floors over basement and 0.3 acres of gardens.
The property is approached via electric gates, while all plinths and patios are finished in granite, as are the front steps and porch. Giving a grand first impression, the front steps lead to the marble-floored hallway with panelled walls, a coved ceiling and a sweeping staircase.
To the left is the living room, which features solid cherry flooring and a feature marble fireplace. An archway leads to the dining room, again with solid cherry flooring, where French doors open to the large outdoor terrace.
There’s access from the dining room to the open-plan kitchen area, which acts as the heart of the home. Here, there’s hand-painted cabinets, a centre island, granite counter tops and crema marfil flooring. The kitchen comes complete with multiple appliances, including a double oven, a coffee machine, wine cooler, plate warmer and an intercom telephone.
There’s also room for a dining table to seat at least eight, plus access to the south-facing veranda. A family room, utility room and guest bathroom complete the ground floor accommodation.
Moving to the first floor, there are three large bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms and a family bathroom with a large corner shower. The impressive master suite boasts a double walk-in wardrobe and a stylish marble bathroom, while there’s an over-porch balcony in the landing area.
On the second floor, there are two bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms, a study and ample storage space. If that’s not enough space to unwind, the basement features a gym and impressive home cinema. Movie night, anyone?
Outside, the property enjoys a private setting thanks to tall trees and mature hedges on all boundaries. There’s plenty of room to enjoy the good (or bad) weather outdoors at Brysam, with generous terraces, a private veranda, parterre garden and manicured lawns across its grounds.
Despite boasting the features of a luxurious home in the secluded countryside, Byram is located in the heart of Clane town, with numerous amenities close by including schools shops and sports clubs.
For golfers, The K Club, Millicent Golf Club and Naas Golf Club are just a short drive away. The property is around a 50 minute drive from Dublin city thanks to the nearby M4, while a nearby bus service goes straight to the heart of the capital.
