LOCATED A SHORT drive from Freshford village, Co Kilkenny, Clashacrow is a charming countryside bungalow.
Sitting on 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens, the stone front property is approached via a sweeping driveway bordered by mature lawns, plants and trees.
Inside, the five-bed home (which was built in 2007) is welcoming and character-filled throughout. The entrance hall features a black and cream tiled floor, with the formal living room to the right.
Here, a feature bay window overlooks the front garden, while an open fireplace adds a cosy feel. Double glass doors lead to the family room, which features a brick surround fireplace and French doors to the rear garden, while double glass doors give access to the kitchen and dining area. The inter-connectivity of the ground floor adds to the feeling of warmth throughout the home.
Matching with the rest of the interior, the kitchen is fitted with cream country-style units and solid wooden counter tops. It also comes complete with a Belfast sink, integrated appliances and an American-style fridge freezer. Maximising the use of space, the dining area features built-in seating on two sides.
A double bedroom with views of the gardens and an en-suite bathroom complete the ground floor accommodation. Upstairs, there’s a spacious landing area with storage space. The master bedroom features a Juliet balcony with views of the garden, plus an en-suite bathroom. There are another three double rooms on this floor, two with en-suite bathrooms, and a family bathroom with a standalone bath.
Outside, a large patio area to the side is ideal for al fresco dining, while there’s also a large orchard with several varieties of apple trees, plus a cut stone outbuilding.
Freshford village is a five-minute drive away, with a primary school here, while there are further options in Kilkenny town, which is a 20-minute drive away.
