Gardaí appeal for information on serious attack in Dublin earlier this week

The reported attack occurred near Annesley Bridge shortly after 6pm on Wednesday, 22 October.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to an alleged serious assault in Fairview Park, Dublin 3 earlier this week.

The reported attack occurred near Annesley Bridge shortly after 6pm on Wednesday, 22 October. 

The man attacked, aged in his 50s, was brought to Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital. He remains there in a serious condition. 

A technical examination of the scene was conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit. 

Gardaí are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information to contact them.

A spokesperson said: “Anyone with any information is asked to contact Clontarf Garda Station on 01 666 4800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
