Baby boy injured in two-car collision in Dundalk last weekend dies in hospital

The collision happened on the R132 at Dowdallshill at around 8pm last Saturday.

A BABY BOY who was critically injured in a two-car collision in Dundalk, Co Louth last weekend has died. 

The collision happened on the R132 at Dowdallshill at around 8pm on Saturday, 6 December. 

The infant, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was taken to Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin after the crash. He has since passed away. 

Three other people were hospitalised following the collision. Their injuries were non-life threatening. 

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and were travelling on the R132 in the Dowdallshill area between 7:50pm and 8:20pm are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
