The incidents took place on Sunday night.

LAST UPDATE | 17 Mar

A WOMAN IN her forties is to appear in court this afternoon in connection with armed robberies allegedly carried out in Ballincollig in Cork.

The woman was arrested by investigation gardaí following two reported incidents of robbery in which it’s alleged a woman brandished a suspected imitation firearm on Sunday night.

She is due to appear before a special sitting of Cork City District Court, Anglesea Street this afternoon.

Gardaí had appealed for witnesses to come forward as they investigate two reported incidents of robbery in which a woman brandished a suspected imitation firearm, both of which occurred last night.

The woman was subsequently arrested.

“An imitation firearm and a number of bladed implements were recovered. The firearm is subject to ballistic analysis,” a Garda spokesperson said yesterday.

No injuries were reported at the time and investigations are ongoing.
