THE AVERAGE ASKING price of a home in Blanchardstown is now just under €256,000, according to the latest figures.
Analysis by Daft.ie across all properties advertised in the area in a three-month period puts the average list price at €255,712.
This makes the neighbourhood one of the cheapest on average across Dublin city and county – the 14th lowest-priced of 117 areas in the analysis.
However, Blanch remains marginally more expensive on average than other neighbouring areas – a disparity which may reflect the level of amenities on offer.
The average asking price in Tyrrelstown is €240,700; in Ongar, €233,100; and in Mulhuddart €206,700.
Ashtown, the area of Dublin 15 that is closest to the city centre, is only marginally more expensive than Blanchardstown at €260,400.
Asking prices in Blanchardstown have risen by 74 per cent since hitting their lowest level in 2012, when the average was just €146,900.
