THIS WEEK WE’RE heading to The Kingdom to see what you could get for under €500k in the current climate.
It can be hard to find the time to trawl through listings, so let us do some of the work for you. If you’re looking to buy in Co Kerry, one of these four houses may just be what you’ve been waiting for.
This detached family home sits on .6 of an acre and has super views of Kerryhead, Ballyheigue, about 18 km from Tralee town. Inside comprises a hallway with marble flooring and a solid oak staircase. Plenty of big windows throughout take advantage of the views. The open plan kitchen, dining area and sunroom is basked in natural light.
The four bedrooms are all generous in size with two enjoying en suite bathrooms. The shared bathroom has undergone a recent refurb. The grounds surrounding the house have a garden, a driveway in great shape, plenty of parking and a large shed for extra storage.
It would be pretty hard to round up four properties in Co Kerry that don’t offer spectacular sea and countryside views. This four-bedder in Fenit is no exception. Located on about half an acre and along the newly opened Fenit-Tralee Greenway, this is a modern country home with lots of recent refurbs such as the kitchen. The spaces are bright and clean-lined.
The house is close to restaurants, bars and the seafront, so in turn, plenty to do in terms of water sports and activities. The village of Kilfenora is a short drive away and can also be cycled to while a bar and restaurant is just a two minute walk from the home.
With great access to Tralee centre, this three-bedder is a restored and redecorated townhouse that also benefits from an extension to the back. With nods to period features throughout, from the tiled floors to high ceilings, the house comprises a shared living room and dining space that looks over the front garden from a bay window. This airy space then leads to the extension which is home to the kitchen, complete with an island and skylight that lets the brightness pour in. The bedrooms all reside upstairs and share a family bathroom.
Fear not if it looks like this house has no off-street parking. The back of the property has a surprisingly large back garden with a patio, shed and access for a car, also.
