Carjacking: Driver "badly shaken" after 4x4 rammed by gang's car

The Nissan Terrano was rammed in the rear by another car. The gang sped off, leaving the occupants of the 4×4 by the roadside.

POLICE IN THE North are appealing for witnesses after a car was hijacked in Lisburn yesterday.

Three occupants of a Nisssan Terrano were left shaken after their vehicle was rammed by a gang in another car.

They were then dragged out of their 4×4 as the gang sped off.

“Police received a report shortly after 7.00pm that as a Nissan Terrano was being driven along the Oldpark Road, Lisburn the driver of a Vauxhall Corsa rammed the back of it,” Detective Chief Inspector Andy Freeburn said in a statement.

“The three male occupants were then pulled from the car.

“Either three or four unknown men got out of the Vauxhall Corsa and got into the Terrano and drove off.

The occupants of the hijacked car were not injured however they were left very badly shaken.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the PSNI’s non-emergency number on ’101′.
