Woman (30s) charged over alleged assault in Clondalkin that's left man hospitalised

The man is being treated for his injuries at James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.

A WOMAN IN her 30s has been charged in connection with an incident that a man hospitalised with serious injuries after an alleged assault in Clondalkin.

The alleged assault occurred at around 8am yesterday morning at Lealand Road in Dublin.

The man – who is in his 50s – is being treated for his injuries at James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown, where his condition has been described as critical.

The woman is due to appear before Blachardstown District Court tomorrow at 10.30am.

In a statement yesterday, gardaí asked anyone who may have been in the area from 7:30am to 8am, or who may have information about the incident, to come forward.
