Irish tourist missing in Australia found safe and well

Craig Lambe (25) had been missing from Kingsford in New South Wales since 12.30pm yesterday.

A MISSING IRISH tourist in Australia has been found safe and well.

Craig Lambe (25) had been missing from Kingsford in New South Wales since 12.30pm yesterday.

Police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command issued an appeal following concerns for Lambe’s welfare.

He was found shortly after 8.30pm yesterday evening by a friend in Coogee, police said.

In a Facebook post today, Lambe’s brother James thanked the public for their support.

“My brother Craig has been found safe. Obviously, his mental health and well-being is now our priority,” James Lambe wrote.

“The social media coverage of Craig’s case was a massive factor in discovering his whereabouts. To anyone who liked, shared and tagged, we are forever grateful.”

Police in New South Wales also thanked the public and media for their assistance in locating Lambe.
