An 82-year-old woman has died after her car collided with a fence in Bundoran

The collision happened on the N15 yesterday.

AN 82-YEAR-OLD woman has died after the vehicle she was driving struck a fence in Bundoran yesterday.

The car was travelling along the N15 Bundoran bypass at The Ross when the collision happened at about 3.50 PM yesterday.

The woman was taken from the scene by ambulance to Sligo General Hospital but was pronounced dead en route.

The woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The road was closed for a period to allow for an examination of the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of the crash to come forward.
