Driver arrested after car found on Luas tracks

Drivers are being warned to take care on the roads as freezing conditions are due to take hold tomorrow.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a motorist after a car was found on a Luas track in Dublin.

It happened at the Naas Road stop.

Officers said the driver was arrested to undergo intoxicant testing.

Met Eireann has issued a snow-ice warning for Ireland which kick in at 4pm tomorrow.

In Cork, a truck jack-knifed on a country road in icy conditions causing the road to be closed for several hours.

The truck contained milk powder, with gardaí commenting: “No need to get upset over spilt milk.”
