Man charged with €60k of cannabis, LSD and cocaine to appear in court

The drugs were found after gardaí stopped a car in Rathmines and made a follow-up search of a house in Rathfarnham.

A MAN IN his 20s is due to appear before Court 44, The Bridewell, at 10.30am this morning charged in relation to the seizure of €60,000 worth of cannabis and LSD.

At around 5pm yesterday evening, gardaí from the Terenure District Drug Unit stopped a car on Leinster Road, Rathmines and found a quantity of cannabis herb and LSD.

Two men in their 20’s were arrested at the scene and detained at Rathmines Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

In a follow up search of a house last night in the Rathfarnham area further quantities of cannabis herb and LSD along with cocaine were found, in total, with an estimated street value of up to €60,000.

The second male was released without charge last night.
