Music Myth & Magic: The Crawford Art Gallery in Cork is host to a wonderful exhibition this weekend, documenting our history of magic and mystery through art and sculpture. The Crawford is an ideal gallery to introduce small people to art, thanks to its super family-friendly staff.

Beauty And The Beast: Take a matinée trip to The Helix this weekend to see TheatreworX Productions’ panto-tastic interpretation of Disney’s Beauty & The Beast. Expect belly laughs and lots of sing-along opportunities.

Budding Artists and Hardy Annuals: In this once-a-month workshop at Dublin’s Botanic Gardens, children are encouraged to take a closer look at the natural world all around them to inspire fun art-making activities.

Park Run: Parks around Dublin are hosting 5k park runs each Saturday, and they’re a brilliant way for families to get fit. You don’t have to do the whole 5k, or even run it – just get out in the fresh air and get moving!

Medieval Treasures: The former St Mary’s Church is now the ultra-modern Medieval Mile Museum with loads of medieval artefacts and treasures, as well as a spooky graveyard. This is a brilliant trip for would-be historians, and the guided tour is well worth it.

The Renmore Panto: Catch the last weekend of Renmore’s pantomime at the Town Hall Theatre, with 39 years of history. This year sees Beauty & The Beast incorporating Smurfs into the story, in classic Panto ridiculousness.
