1. #CRASH: A man has died and another is in a serious condition after a crash in Cork this morning, and last night in Cavan a woman in her 80s died when her car hit a ditch.

2. #EMERGENCY ACCOMMODATION: There were more than 1,200 families homeless in the last week of November, according to new figures. This brings the total number to adults and children homeless to just under 7,000.

3. #RIP: Police in England have said that more tests need to be carried out to establish the cause of George Michael’s death. Results of an initial post-mortem exam, carried out yesterday, were deemed inconclusive.

4. #GROUNDED: A third day of fog at London’s main airports is causing some headaches for Irish commuters. Several flights have been cancelled or delayed.

5. #FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE: Russian president Vladimir Putin has said he will not expel any Americans in response to Washington turfing out dozens of Russian diplomats over alleged election interference. Instead, he invited children of US diplomats to a holiday party at the Kremlin.
