FOO FIGHTERS WILL be back in Dublin tonight to perform a sold-out gig at The Academy.
The announcement of the performance came as a surprise to many, as the group revealed the show just hours before tickets went on sale.
Hundreds of fans queued outside the box office at the 3Olympia in the hope of securing a ticket or two. Tickets were only available in person and issued as physical copies.
While an 800-odd capacity venue would already be considered unusually intimate for the band, they also surprised fans in Dingle with a secret performance in St James’ Church, which seats around 80 people.

The run of smaller warm-up shows in Ireland and the UK comes ahead of their forthcoming album and tour.
