French president vows to find killers of British family

The Franch president Francois Hollande today vowed to ‘do everything’ to find the killers.

FRENCH PRESIDENT FRANCOIS Hollande today vowed to find the killers who brutally shot dead a British family in their car while they were on holiday in the French Alps.

“Everything will be done to find the killer or killers,” Hollande said at a press conference in London, where he is attending the Paralympic Games.

“There is a very strong bond between France and Britain and we will do everything to find them.”

He added: “We do not know the motives behind this incident.”

The president said France stood “in solidarity” with the British people over the attack on Wednesday near the French village of Chevaline, in which four people were killed including a cyclist who was passing by.

A four-year-old girl survived the attack by crouching beneath her mother’s corpse and was not found until eight hours after authorities first arrived at the crime scene.

Her older sister, who suffered serious head injuries in the attack, has been placed in an induced coma ahead of further surgery in a hospital in Grenoble.
