Funeral arrangements announced for Mark O'Connell, who died after a stabbing in Cork on Sunday

He was the “loving father” of Kathryn, Jake and Sean, partner of Samantha and brother of Philip.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS HAVE been announced for Mark O’Connell, who died after being stabbed in Cork last weekend. 

Mark died in hospital after the stabbing took place in Hollyville, Hollyhill, in Cork city on Sunday morning. He was 38 years old. 

He was the “loving father” of Kathryn, Jake and Sean, partner of Samantha and brother of Philip.

He is also survived by his grandmother Mary, uncles and aunts, extended family, his colleagues and a large circle of friends.

His body will be reposing at the Coburg Street Funeral Home of Jerh. O’Connor Ltd tomorrow evening from 5pm to 6pm. 

A requiem mass will take place at 11.30am on Friday in the Church of the Resurrection in Farranree and the funeral will be held afterwards to St Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.
