Garda investigation launched after man’s body discovered in Dublin residence

A garda spokesperson said the results of the port-mortem will determine the course of the investigation.

A GARDA INVESTIGATION has been launched after a man’s body was discovered in a residence in Dublin.

Shortly after 1.10pm this afternoon, gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a man found unresponsive at a residence in Cookstown, Dublin 24.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and gardaí say they are investigating all of the circumstances.

His body has been removed to Dublin City Mortuary and the scene has been preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.

The Coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

A garda spokesperson said the results of the port-mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
