Gardaí appeal for witnesses after man struck by 'glass implement' in Coolock yesterday

The incident occurred shortly after 6.30pm yesterday.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses after a man was assaulted yesterday evening in Coolock.

Gardaí said a man in his 50s was “struck by a glass implement” on the Oscar Traynor Road, Dublin 5, shortly after 6.30pm yesterday.

The man was transferred to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of his injuries. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Beechlawn and Bunratty areas between 6.20pm and 7pm last night who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have footage of it, including dash cam footage, to come forward. 

They are asking anyone with footage to make it available to the investigating gardaí.
