Fears for George Manson's safety as search continues

The 76-year-old has not been seen since Sunday.

GARDAÍ SEARCHING FOR George Manson have say they are concerned for his welfare as the search continues around the Wicklow area.

The 76-year-old’s car was found close to the army rifle range in the Manor Kilbride area yesterday.

George Manson was last seen in Stillorgan  in Dublin on Sunday. He was wearing black trousers and a maroon-coloured, v-necked jumper. His is described as 5′ 6″ in height, of slim build with grey hair and a moustache.

The silver Ford Mondeo with registration plate 11 D 35116 was reportedly sighted in the Wicklow vicinity on the afternoon of Sunday, 18 May.

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for the public’s assistance to trace his whereabouts. Anyone with information is asked to contact them at the local station on 01 666 5200 or the Confidential Line.

Three garda dog teams, the Coast Guard helicopter and local search and rescue volunteers have been deployed to help in the search.

The Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team said today that the search is ongoing and it is providing assistance.
