Hatchet and knife recovered from scene of ‘violent incident’ in Clondalkin

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A MAN HAS been seriously injured following reports of a “violent disturbance” in Dublin this morning.

Shortly after 6:15am, local gardaí, the Armed Support Unit and emergency services responded to reports of a violent disturbance involving two armed males at St Cuthbert’s Court, Clondalkin.

Upon arrival, gardaí discovered a male in his 20s with serious injuries.

The injured man was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital.

A garda spokesperson said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A second male, also in his 20s, was arrested at the scene.

He is currently detained at a Garda Station in west Dublin.

A hatchet and knife were recovered from the scene, which has since been technically examined.

Investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this violent incident in Clondalkin to come forward.
