Quiz: How much do you know about heat pumps? Let’s myth bust

Heat pumps can make a major difference to your home in terms of comfort and savings.

THERE REALLY IS no shortage of reasons to make the switch from a fossil fuel boiler to a heat pump.

Whether you’re looking for a more comfortable, stable temperature in your home, trying to bring down your energy bills, or simply eager to reduce your carbon footprint, heat pumps deliver on all fronts.

Heat pumps are highly efficient heating systems, creating a more comfortable and healthier home. They only use electricity which increasingly comes from renewable sources. Heat is drawn from a low-temperature source, such as the air outside or the ground, which is then converted into higher temperatures and distributed around your home. If you have an old oil or gas boiler that is in need of replacing, now is the time to make your home more comfortable with a heat pump and say goodbye to fossil fuels.

SEAI offers a range of home energy upgrade grants, including grants for heat pumps, to help make homes more comfortable and energy efficient.
