HIGHLIGHTS OF THE Census of 2011 have been published today. The census – carried out in April of last year – show that Ireland’s population is continuing to grow. The number of people living here since 2006 has increased by 348,404 to 4,588,252. That’s an 8.2 per cent increase. The number of non-nationals living in Ireland has also increased by 124,624 people to 544,357.
