Take 4: Homes for every budget

Here is our pick of properties from €250k… up to €1 million.

GETTING INTO THE property market can be a daunting experience. Here we make it easy and bring you eight of the best properties on the market around the country this week.

Under €250,000K

Dublin, city centre – €140,000

Last week news came through that there are only 395 houses available under the Central Bank’s €220,000 limit to those looking to avail of leniency on mortgage deposit rules.

Well, here is one of those houses. This three-bedroom in Dublin 1 is in a very good location but “is in need of modernisation”. The city-centre home comes with a garden to the rear and has gas central heating. It also has free on-street parking.

This house is remarkably spacious for being so centrally located. The four-bedroom detached home is said to sit on a “very private site”.

The home comes in livable condition with gas central heating, a cast iron fireplace and a solid-fuel central heating stove.

Outside of the home there is also a shed that has over 350 sq. ft. of floor space.

Galway, Barna – €570,000

This house is located in the popular seaside village of Barna in Co Galway. The home was only built around fifteen years ago but has a rustic barn-style appearance.

Its description says that “on entering this home your first impressions are of space, light, quality and large well-proportioned rooms.”

The home has a number of features to attract potential buyers – its large attic has potential for future development and it has its own planned, mature gardens.
