GETTING INTO THE property market can be a daunting experience. Here we try and make it a bit easier – and bring you four of the best properties on the market around the country this week.
Dublin city, Finglas – €185,000
Finding suitable accommodation in the capital can be tricky business. This home in the north of the city presents value for money – coming onto the market for under €200,000.
The three-bedroom duplex is situated within a development of townhouses and apartments and is located half-way between Dublin city centre and the airport.
Galway, Moycullen – €495,000
For close to €500,000 in Galway you are able to buy into the luxury end of the market.
‘Moycullen House’ is more than 110 metres above sea level and looks out over Lough Corrib. The inside of the house has more than 4,000 sq. ft. floor space with a total of five bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The home comes with a number of original features – including a freestanding bath, exposed brick work and a stone fireplace.
Waterford, Waterford city – €670,000
This Edwardian house is said to be situated in “one of Waterford city’s most enviable locations”.
Sitting in just over two-thirds of an acre of its own land, potential buyers are assured their privacy.
While the building has been restored to a high standard, “painstaking attention” has been paid to the preservation of a number of original features, including sliding sash windows, mosaic tiled floors and a staircase fitted with original spindles.
The five-bedroom house would suit someone looking for something a bit unique.
Kildare, Straffan – €810,000
The house sits in 19 acres of its own land and overlooks the Dublin and Wicklow mountains.
Sitting in Dublin’s commuter belt it is less than an hour’s drive into the city, with the home giving easy access to the N4 and N7.
Of the home’s five bedrooms, two are en suite. Features in the house include oak timber flooring, a marble fireplace and bay windows throughout.
