GETTING TO GRIPS with a fast-changing property market is tricky, but we’re here to make things simpler.
Each week, we’ll handpick a number of homes within a similar budget, to give you a snapshot of the property landscape at a particular price point.
This week, we’re looking at properties around Co Kerry with an asking price of exactly €350,000 – from a three-bed in Kenmare to a property by the ocean in Ballybunion.
Located on a 0.75 acre site overlooking Roughty Valley, this three-bed detached home enjoys beautiful views from its living areas and bedrooms. Built in 1990, the property measures 2,282 sq ft and includes an open-plan living/dining room, TV room, study, guest lounge and kitchen.
There are three double bedrooms in the property, while the study could be easily converted to a fourth bedroom. The house is surrounded by a lawn with mature trees and shrubs, with a patio to the rear for dining al fresco. Kenmare town is a 15-minute drive away.
With views of Ventry Harbour, Mount Brandon and the surrounding countryside, this three-bed property offers a peaceful and picturesque place to live. The property is minutes from Slea Head – one of the most well-known routes along the Wild Atlantic Way – and only a five-minute drive from the closest beach.
The interior is warm and inviting, and includes a large, light-filled conservatory with panoramic views. There are ceiling beams and exposed stonework throughout the property, while the gardens measure 0.3 acres. Dingle town can be reached by car in 15 minutes.
Directly facing Ballybunion Golf Club and, beyond that, the Atlantic Ocean, this six-bed property boasts a unique location. The interior is bright and spacious, and includes plenty of living space, including a sitting room, dining room, open-plan kitchen and diner, and an impressive sunroom.
Each of the six bedrooms has its own en suite bathroom, while there’s also a family bathroom and guest bathroom. The seaside town of Ballybunion is a quick 15 minute walk away from the property, with a beautiful beach here.
A modern and welcoming property, this three-bed detached bungalow features a bright and roomy interior. On the ground floor, there’s a living room, kitchen and dining room, sunroom, utility room, bedroom and en suite bathroom. Moving to the attic, there are two large double bedrooms and en suite bathrooms here.
There’s also a study on the first floor, with Velux windows in each room on this level flooding the space with nature light. The house is located on 0.5 acres, although an additional five acre plot is available for purchase if desired.
