GETTING TO GRIPS with a fast-changing property market is tricky, but we’re here to make things simpler.
Each week, we’ll handpick a number of homes within a similar budget, to give you a snapshot of the property landscape at a particular price point.
This week, we’re looking at properties around Cork with an asking price of exactly €275,000 – including a family home in Midleton and a modern farmhouse in Roscarbery.
A three-bed semi-detached property, 22 The Woodlands is an ideal family home. It’s located less than a 10-minute walk from the heart of Midleton town, with a number of pre-schools, primary schools and secondary schools in and around here.
The accommodation comprises a living room with an open fireplace, a light-filled kitchen and dining room, two double bedrooms, one single bedroom and a family bathroom. There’s off-street parking to the front, and a sizeable lawn to the rear.
Located a 15-minute drive from the centre of Cork city, 100 Rowan Hill is a two-bed terraced property. It features a converted attic, which could be used as a third bedroom or home office. On the ground floor, there’s a modern kitchen and dining area, and a living room where a glass door leads to the rear garden.
On the first floor, the master bedroom is spacious and comes complete with hardwood floors, built-in storage and access to the main bathroom. A second double bedroom completes the accommodation. No 100 is conveniently located, with Mahon Point Shopping Centre a 10-minute drive away and Cork city a 15-minute drive away.
Located on 0.65 acres, this three-bed modern farmhouse is packed with character and charm. Positioned on an elevated south-facing site, the property is surrounded by the rolling countryside and features a beautiful ruined stonebuilding.
The accommodation measures 1,100 sq ft and features a kitchen and dining area, a sitting room and a play room on the ground floor, while the three bedrooms are on the first floor. Roscarbery town is a five minute drive away, with two primary schools and a secondary school here.
A three-bed semi-detached property, 38 Sliabh Alainn is set and ready for moving day. It features a large extension to the rear which houses the open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. This room is filled with natural light thanks to the vaulted ceilings, Velux windows and sliding glass doors.
There’s also a separate living room with a bay window, wooden floors and feature fireplace, as well as a downstairs bathroom. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms, an en suite bathroom and the family bathroom. There’s a large driveway with parking for two cars to the front.
