FINDING A HOME that matches your budget without compromising your list of must-haves can be tricky, but we’re here to make that task easier.
Each week we round up homes on the market for a certain price point to see how far your budget will get you. This week, we’re looking at properties around the country with a starting price of exactly €200,000.
Here are four properties around Ireland to add to your must-view list…
A mid-terraced property, 70 Bru na hAbhainn is a home that makes good use of its 840 sq ft. On the ground floor is the living room, complete with feature fireplace, a bathroom and an open-plan kitchen/dining room. Upstairs, there are two large bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and varnished floors, and a bathroom.
The back garden enjoys countryside views, while there is a fenced area and shed to the rear. Navan town centre and all of its amenities is a 20 minute walk away, while Blackcastle Shopping Centre can be reached by foot in 15 minutes. The drive to the heart of the capital will take about an hour.
Set over three floors, 10 Lansdowne Close is a four bedroom and four bathroom home in turn-key condition. Upon entering the hallway, the bright and spacious living room is to the right, complete with feature fireplace, with the open plan kitchen and dining room to the rear. Double doors lead from the fully equipped kitchen to the garden and decking – perfect for al fresco dining.
There are two bedrooms on both the first and second floor, with built-in wardrobes in each. Portarlington town centre is just a five minute walk from the property, with a selection of schools, shops and restaurants close by. Dublin is a 45 minute drive away.
Just three two-bedroom terraced houses remain available in the current phase of the new development at Earlsfort. Each property enjoys a bright living room, which leads into the open-plan kitchen and dining area. Glass doors here fill the room with natural light, with space for both a breakfast bar and dining table.
The master bedroom is generous in size, while the second bedroom is also spacious. The seaside village of Blackrock is just a short stroll away, while the town of Dundalk can be reached by car in 10 minutes. The drive to Dublin will take an hour or so, while Irish Rail provides a service from Dundalk.
Built 12 years ago, 14 Monastery Gardens is a three-bed semi-detached family home. On the ground floor, the living room sits to the left of the hallway. Here, there’s a large bay window, a feature fireplace and a timber floor. The living room leads to the fitted kitchen, where there’s ample space for at least six people to dine. A spacious utility room and bathroom complete this floor.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms – each of which feature timber flooring. The master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, with a family bathroom also on this floor. The sizable back garden is paved and includes a large decking area. The drive to Killarney will take 20 minutes, while Tralee is a 25-minute drive away.
